An American Love Story: Jon and Demo

Jon Bozak and Demo have spent the last 16 years together, perfecting the art of friendship. Most of us know Demo the cartoon dog, who's been helping the world understand the evils of BSL and discrimination in this famous book. As sad as it is to know that he's gone, it's a joy to "meet" the real dog through Jon's artful tribute. Thank you Jon and - lord have mercy - thank you Demo. Love Story

Demo is a wonderful story and one every pittie lover or parent should add to their collection.
It saddens me to hear about Demo and Jon's loss.
Though Jon has a wonderful guardian angel waiting for him now.

This made me cry. Demo is very similar to one of my dogs, she always has a want that can never be fulfilled and that I can never put my finger on. I only hope that over the rest of her life I can help her find what she's looking for.

BTW - Donna I wanted to give you a heads up about an NY Magazine piece on dog ownership. I thought it was great article about the general limbo dogs are in (child v. animal) but it had some subtle jabs at pitbulls. What do you think?

I know this may sound horrible but I would love for you to continue to write about Demo and his life with you. The way you write about it you can feel your passion its amazing and I would read every word of it. I miss Demo and we never met. You had an awesome friend my friend, never let that go.

Oh my -- what a wonderful story of a life well lived and a dog well loved. And how amazing that Demo made it back from the brink those years ago. Sometimes, love does conquer all.
