We're on our way back from Newkirk, Oklahoma, where 106 pit bulls were found dead and dying of starvation and exposure to the harsh OK winter. Kay County
Thanks for all that you were able to do for these dogs. I know our group in Kansas City thanks you -- I'm not sure we had the clout to make it happen without you. I'm glad at least some of these dogs are going to get the opportunity to know what love is like -- and what it should really mean to be a dog.
MABBR made this whole ordeal so much more bearable, Brent. Thanks so much for offering up your home to a dog. I know you and Michelle are beyond-belief busy with BSL work, and we appreciate the personal sacrifice you're making more than you know.
We have been anxiously awaiting news from OK, and we are glad to hear that so many of these beautiful creatures were spared thanks to people like you. I hope that you didn't lose any fingers to frost bite, and look forward to an update. You and Tim and your pups have a very Merry Christmas, and we hope to see you at CGC this coming weekend. Hope Santa is as good to the two of you as you were to these dogs!
Osa says Merry Christmas, and thank you from her "people".
Thank you for bringing home the pittie girl in the photo. I hope you were able to bring more, but at least one little angel will have a better day tomorrow in Cali.
Another tear-jerker I'm sure, but thank you for doing all you can for our dogs.
Thank you thank you thank you. Your kindness is immeasurable. And while your hearts are likely breaking for the dogs you couldn't save, please find peace in knowing that your efforts are nothing short of heroic. My family and I send our love and great thanks to you - For finding the strength and courage to do what you do each day. If not for you, I would not have had a chance at life. We love you!
I sure hope this rescue effort will help SPCA Texas realize how big of a mistake they made in how they handled that big pit bull bust awhile back.
Dog bless each and every one of those pitties' souls. The rainbow bridge is shining bright tonight above Oklahoma... I am relieved to hear that the dogs are not suffering anymore.
Hi Donna and Company - Hope you and your dogs enjoyed a happy hug session - sounds like you more than deserved it. As tough as this journey was - thank you for going, thank you for saving the souls you could, and thank you for bringing a soft peace to those who needed it. Blessings and Strength to You and Your Family.
"And the Grinch, with his Grinch-feet ice cold in the snow, stood puzzling and puzzling, how could it be so? It came without ribbons. It came without tags. It came without packages, boxes or bags. And he puzzled and puzzled 'till his puzzler was sore. Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn't before. What if Christmas, he thought, doesn't come from a store. What if Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more." Dr. Seuss
O.K. trip - way beyond 'educate and inspire' effort - keep showing the folks with 'hearts two-sizes too small'.
As Tiny Tim in A Chrismas Carol: "God bless us, every one!"
I was thinking about all of you and OK dogs. Thank all of you who made the sacrifice to help the dogs, and especially for being there for the ones who had to leave us so they knew someone cared, finally.
I can't imagine the heartache you're all feeling now and hope you had a good cry with your dogs at home.
Daphne and I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a New Year with more happy endings than sadness.

BLESS YOU!
Thanks to all of you for helping the ones you could and for being there for the ones who had to leave.
At least they finally found some kindness.
That photo says it all IMO.
"Thank God you came for me"

You really are angels. Thank you for all that you do.
Bless you is right! Thank you for doing what you do, it's so very important and I only wish we could be a part in some way. Hang in there!

I had been wondering about these guys. Good job, thanks for saving who you could! May the ones who did not get that 2nd chance RUN FREE.
