Another Okie dog heard from. This is Goji, one of the females we brought back to CA from the Kay County, OK cruelty case.
Almost two months after they're home, and all dogs are finally caught up on their sleep, gaining back their strength, and enjoying play dates with the other dogs in their foster homes.
Goji here won our hearts by grinning like a love struck hyena when we first met the dogs. .... Ohhh ... and those eyes ....
Look at those EYES!! She is a beauty!
ReplyDeleteWhat's going on with Nellie? Is the vet going to be able to "make" her a nose?
You know, if you attached a triangle under her chin (pointy end down), she'd have a perfectly heart-shaped head.
ReplyDeleteShe makes up for this minor imperfection (triangle-chin) by her "I am smitten with you" eyes. :)
Goji, Goji, Goo,
ReplyDeleteYou sure got those survival instincts down. Smile, give 'em those soulful eyes and when feelin' in trouble keep your chin up.
Keep learnin' and playin' hard so the BR gang can find you that forever home soon, where that precious mug of yours will be covered with smooches daily.
Here is hoping you're one of the tippin' points to end the "Grapes of Wrath" for Oki Pibbles.
I'll check-back, Boris
Ooh, she's adorable!
ReplyDelete"What's going on with Nellie? Is the vet going to be able to "make" her a nose?"
ReplyDeleteI met with the vet and they are figuring out a game-plan as the Pug type surgery won't exactly work on her since she doesn't have a nose like a pug, only two pin prick size holes in which she can sometimes make a noise that I can really only describe as a nose fart.
I am speaking with the vet again tomorrow to see what she has come up with. I'll write again to let you know.
OH GOJI! You are so beautiful. Your eyes are like gigundo M&Ns and your ears are like snowflakes. Is your Mom taking any applications for suitors? My name is GHANDI and I would love to take you to the movies?
ReplyDeleteBoy, you must be very happy to be in CA, huh? You are SO pretty. Sigh. Do I have a chance with you?
I know from experience those hyena grins grab your heart and never let go, especially when they're paired with gooey soft brown eyes. Best of luck, beautiful Goji!
ReplyDeleteAnother gorgeous beauty. I've got one of those hi-def monitors that my dog sometimes notices pictures on and my silly boy just jumped up on the seat behind me to get a better look at her. :)
ReplyDeleteI've said it once and I'll continue to say it, the capacity of love and forgiveness of these dogs are amazing.
She is BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat's the scoop on NELLIE? Is she going to have plastic surgery so she can have nostrils? If so will she have to wear a hat and scarf and sunglasses and stay at the Fairmont while she recuperates? If the answer is yes do you need to start a fund? I mean, the Fairmont is kind of expensive.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Tim, for letting us know about dear Nellie. Definitely keep us updated, and thank you as always for helping these dogs (even the noseless ones!) so much.
ReplyDeletewow - look at that gorgeous Goji - those eyes say it all! what a beauty she is. thank you for the update on little Nellie, she's one i'll think about for a long time - what with her no-nose and home cropped ears. she's beautiful, too, again, it's the eyes!
ReplyDeletethanks for all you do for these wonderful dogs-

catherine, hattie & zeus
