Eye See You

Big thanks to Sophie's foster mom, Stephanie, for taking such good care of Soph and for snapping these new post-surgery pix. Our girl is all brand new without her icky damaged eye to bother her anymore.

For those who may have missed her intro, Sophie was bred and fought most of her 11 years but found happier days once she landed in the Oakland Animal Shelter, and then to our program. I especially like the shot of her blowing little bubbles out of her pursed lips.

I just 'love' that Sophie girl! Clearly, she is so deserving of happiness! Thank you so much BadRap for finding her and then for giving her the life she has undoubtedly always deserved!

Sophie lookin' good though her 'pants' are too big!! LOL! I always say that to my bullies about their loose skin on their rear ends!

  5. Poor, sweet Sophie. To imagine what she's been through, what she's seen, it just makes me sick to my stomach. That's why it is so fitting that her icky eye is gone and with it the evil she experienced.

And now, on to better days for Ms. Sophie. And many toys, treats and belly rubs!

Oh Sophie Girl what an inspiration!!!If I had the money I would start a rescue for the elderly ,forgotten, battle scarred pitties and the over bred Pit mommies that do thier jobs and then the owners dump them because thier bodies show the wear and tear of bearing multiple litters. The old, scarred and over bred are rarely ever adopted or even given a 2nd glance...

  11. I truly believe everyone's love and adoration from afar has helped Sophie get to where she is today. She's such a great girl... You can just see her sweet soul shine through her eyes. It's been a privilege having her at my house.

i cant believe the government wants to get rid of the american pitbull terrier! she has been through hell but they say its the dogs fault! how is that? the owners allow them to end up like this and do what they do! my name is thomas williams and u can reach me at tommywilliams1991@yahoo.com

punish the man with the deed not the breed. say no to BSL(breed specific legislation)!

She is so beautiful. I can't seem to understand how someone could do anything of this nature to such a pretty animal. I really hope that states start to pick up on the penalty for animal abuse\neglect and the disgusting sport of do fighting. Best of luck to you Sophie, your a true inspiration. one of the reasons I only own pits and only plan on owning pits for the rest of my life.. Thanks to you all over here at Badrep. You truly are doing such a great job. keep up the work. If not we will continue losing these loyal and loving creatures.
